Last Thursday, February 7th, the Boys’ and Girls’ Alpine Ski teams competed in the Section 5 ski meet at Afton Alps. There were many outstanding individual performances. For the girls, Maddie Dekko ’16, Hailey Bork ’14, and Tessa Ide ’13 took 4th, 5th, and 6th place, respectively. For the boys, Jack McNeil ’13 took 1st place, Teddy Ankeny ’14 took 5th place, and Roscoe Ide ’16 took 18th place Overall, the boys’ team received 2nd place, and the girls’ team took 1st place. Both teams qualified for state and will compete in the MSHSL state meet tomorrow at Giants Ridge in Biwabik, Minnesota.
