Wednesday, the Bears took on the #2 seed, Austin Packers, in an unforgettable game. JR Bascom ’14 led the way for the Bears with 17 points and 9 rebounds, while John Veil ’14 and Blaine Crawford ’13 each contributed with 11 points. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough. Despite the Bears’ 31-24 lead at halftime, Austin’s Joe Aase responded with 5 out of his team’s 9 total three pointers to defeat the Bears 59-56. Although the Bears’ season is now over, they have much to be proud of, making it to the State Tournament for the first time in Blake School history. They will look to carry this success into next season. Congratulations on a season we will always remember!
