Will Taylor ‘19 competed in the Junior Snowboarding World Championships in Cardrona, New Zealand in early September, placing 28th in the parallel giant slalom event and 34th in the parallel slalom event. “I was super happy with my performance,” said Taylor.

He was one of only four Americans competing in the events. When asked about his experience with international competitors, Taylor responded, “we definitely talked with them a lot and it was cool to find out what their homes were like.”

He’s now back at Blake, working to make up the work that he’s missed and resuming his role as captain of the boys’ soccer team.

On his future in snowboarding, Taylor says, “It’s something I could pursue after college, too. Then my goal would be to make it onto the world cup circuit.”
