Spencer Okoronkwo ’22 shares his thoughts on the inauguration, “I’m feeling glad that Donald Trump…is going to leave, he’s done, he’s over. Unless he comes back. But I’m kind of scared for all the events that might happen at certain capitals around the country… [which] I’ve heard is going to happen. I know that there might be [an event] here in Minnesota, so I’m just nervous for that and what there might be considering that Trump supporters are wild, crazy, [and] different. But, I’m hoping for the best and I hope it goes smoothly.”

Hey, I’m Bernadette and I’m a senior! I'm the Editor-in-Chief and the Creative Director of The Spectrum. I also edit In-Depth pages. In the past, I have edited both Arts and Culture and Opinions sections. Last semester, I was the editor and leader for the Features section. I started Spectrum at the beginning of my freshman year and continued to be a staff writer until the end of my sophomore year. During my time as a staff writer, I wrote articles, created graphics, and took photos. Since starting Spectrum, I have always loved it. Being able to write about topics I am passionate about and interested in was an amazing experience. One of my favorite things about Spectrum is talking to and meeting new people through interviews and collaborations.

Emily Rotenberg, Editor Emeritus

Hi! I'm Emily, and I am a senior. I have been writing for Spectrum since my freshman year. Previously I was the Niche News Section Leader as well as News, Student Life, and Food Features Editors! Now I am an Editor Emeritus and I help answer questions from the current editorial staff. My favorite part about Spectrum was being creative while making my page on InDesign. Outside of Spectrum, I enjoy traveling, being adventurous with my friends, and grilled cheese!

Sofia Perlman, Editor Emerita

My name is Sofia and I am a senior this year! I have been a writer and editor for Spectrum since my freshman year, and I previously served on the Spectrum Staff Team as Copy Editor and Student Spotlight page editor. Previously I have edited the In-Depth, Sci-Tech, Perspectives, and News pages. My favorite thing about Spectrum is the collaboration across all different grade levels. I love having the opportunity to work with people I would otherwise not know. Outside of school, I am a year-round student at Minnesota Dance Theatre and a member of MDT's Second Company. I love to travel, read, and spend time with friends and family.

Noor Naseer, Editor Emeritus

Hey! I’m Noor, I’m a senior, this is my second semester as an Editor-in-Chief, and I'm currently a features editor. I've edited News, Sports, Sci-tech, Front, and Opinions and became a Managing Editor my first semester last year. I started writing freshman year and have loved it ever since. My favorite part of Spectrum is doing interviews because I feel like they’re such unique opportunities to interact with people you otherwise never would. Outside of Spectrum, I enjoy napping, hanging out with friends, and smoothies.
