For the last three weeks of school, the band has been rehearsing an ensemble of songs which they will perform at commencement on Jun. 9 in the Blake Ice Arena. Josh Smith ‘23, a trumpeter, states, “We will be playing the pieces ‘Forever Joyful’ and ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ as a band at this commencement. We will also be playing ‘Huapango del Oso,’ a piece heard before at the spring concert and legacy day. One thing we are doing uniquely this year is that the band and orchestra will be playing ‘Homeward Bound’ with the choir, something that has been traditionally only sung by them.”

Rowan Wallin, Editor Emeritus
Hi, I'm Rowan. This year, I am a senior and current Editor-in-Chief at The Spectrum. My favorite part of journalism is designing pages and the interviewing process. In the past, I edited the Student Life page, the Sports page, and the Front page. This semester I am editing the Sci-Tech page. I love to eat fruit (specifically berries), watch cartoons (especially Scooby-Doo), and spend time on the scenic North Shore of Lake Superior.
