This month’s mystery athlete started out as a freshman on the SMB Wolfpack JV football team, and is currently a sophomore starting cornerback for varsity. This athlete also played varsity basketball last year as well as running track. He loves football and dedicates his time to it because of the adrenaline it brings. The athlete commented on the team’s early struggles. “We had a rocky start but we are a great team and we will step up in our next games…We can do better if we put the hammer to the nail,” he said.

This athlete loves eating Jimmy John’s in the locker room before a game, and studying his favorite subject, History. The athlete constantly improves every weekend while having time to play with friends. Landon Dillon ‘24, the team’s starting running back, added, “He has stepped up for his team especially from making such a big jump from freshman to varsity only as a sophomore and has a big factor in our defense, our success on the field, and our success in the Wolfpack.”

The athlete’s commitment to the football team is outstanding, and he is also very committed to the basketball team. Basketball teammate Carson McMichael ‘26 said, “He works very hard on and off the field, which translates on the football field and the basketball court. Off the football field, he’s in the weight room all the time and he’s a very hard worker in the numerous activities he does.”
