On Jan. 10, Grayson Okoronkwo ‘24 scored 31 points during a game against Minnehaha Academy, breaking Blake’s all-time scoring record. “It felt surreal. Until the game started, I didn’t really think about it too much,” Okoronkwo said. “I was super happy.”The record of 1,731 points was previously set by Blake Williams ‘07 17 years ago in 2007, who attended the game to congratulate Okoronkwo. “I met him two weeks before. It was pretty cool. He congratulated me,” said Okoronkwo. “He said, just keep doing what you’re doing, and hopefully, something good will happen.” Now that he has achieved his goal for the season, breaking the all-time scoring record, his new goal is hitting 2,000 points.
